- Objective:
To complete and document a SQL-based academic assignment in Microsoft SQL Server, including database creation, table design, data insertion, query writing, and database diagramming. A second follow-up task involved creating a
data warehouse schema design using
ERDPlus based on the previously built operational database.
- Project Description:
The client required completion of a university SQL homework assignment structured into detailed steps. The deliverables included:
- a) Creating a new database (Homework)
- b) Designing and creating multiple tables (with correct keys and constraints)
Inserting sample records
- c) Running SQL SELECT queries to verify inserted data
- d) Writing advanced SQL queries for multi-table joins
- e) Creating a full database diagram
- f) Preparing a step-by-step documentation instead of a screen recording
After successful delivery, a
second assignment was provided to:
- a) Design a dimensional model (star schema) using ERDPlus
- b) Submit a step-by-step explanation of the dimensional modeling process
